U2 – Not Stuck In A Moment
U2 is one of my all-time favorite bands. Not only are they great musicians, but they are innovators and willing to think and do things other bands won’t attempt. In this day and age of DRM, greedy record companies and self-indulgent musicians, they did the unthinkable and broadcast their concert live from the Rose Bowl on YouTube Sunday night. In case you missed it you can catch the entire show here. What a great way to connect with fans and build good will. I hope we see more of this from other bands and musicians.

Marvelous Musical Mish-Mash
I bet you never thought you would see a post from me that had something to do with Taylor Swift, but this video was too good to pass up. This musical mish-mash of Love Story & Viva La Vida from talented musician Jon Schmidt was arranged for his 7 year old daughter, Sarah, who loves the song. I must say the songs blend very well together and the addition of John’s good friend Steven Sharp Nelson on cello helps makes the piece.

U2 released their new album today and Amazon has it for download for only $3.99 (at least for today). Quite a steal if you ask me. Not that you were asking, but I digress… BTW, the cover art is delicious.
