One thing I love about my wife Leigh Anne, is that she is always introducing me to new music and songs. Recently she had me listen to Kari Jobe’s music, and after hearing it I can see why my wife is a such a fan.
Leigh Anne, who happens to be a ridiculously talented singer herself, sang her song “Beautiful” a few weeks ago in church, and it was so moving and powerful that I wanted to share it with you.

I’m a little slow to blog about this, but if you haven’t already checked out Kristian Stanfill’s new LP Attention, you need to. Kristian is a talented worship leader and this is his first release under the Six Steps label.

I discovered Samm Hodges work this past weekend on Vimeo and was moved by the above piece. If you are interested in learning more about you can stop slavery in the world visit Call + Response.
Pastor Ed Dobson decided to live like Jesus for a year and discovered it was tougher than he thought. My favorite quote from him about his experience is this: “If you get serious about the Bible, it will really mess you up.” At first glance you might disagree with this quote, but I think it’s quite true. If we are really serious about following what Jesus said and did, we will find our world turned upside down, and we won’t ever be the same. Read the full article here.

Cool new video by Andy Reale for Cool Hand Luke. I love the camera angles, the story telling and the look and feel of this video. The song is not half bad either. The group is called Cool Hand Luke and their music is great.

I love the way Charles Schultz expressed his faith using the creativity God gifted him with. I thankful that a Savior was born to us, so that I might receive the gift of His grace. I hope that you have a great day of celebration with your family & friends and that you experience the greatest gift of all.
Checkout this behind the scenes video of the 2008 Passion World Tour. It was put together by Daniel Meigs, Jeremy Cowart’s assistant on the tour. Jeremy is one of my favorite photographers and I’m envious of his opportunity to capture and document this years tour in photographs. A book featuring Jeremy’s pictures and Louie Giglio’s thoughts from the tour will be out in Spring 09.
I came across this video about a month ago and loved the concept, execution and movement behind it. I encourage you to visit Advent Conspiracy and find out how you can become involved. I know God has been stirring me lately to always be “about His business” and become more focused on how I can serve instead of being served. What better time of year, when we are celebrating the greatest gift ever given, to reflect on how we can give back to those who are in need.
I just recently returned from a Caribbean cruise and was continually amazed by the creativity of my God. From the amazing sky to the gorgeous waters and all the creatures in them, it blew me away as I once again realized I serve the most creative designer of all. You can see my pictures from the trip here.
“So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that scurries and swarms in the water, and every sort of bird—each producing offspring of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.”
Genesis 1:21
“He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.”
Psalm 146:6

I just ran across this great post today about Church Logos on Stuff Christians Like. I love Jon’s sense of humor and his honest look at Christians and our quirks.
