I’m very impressed with Microsoft’s design for a tablet. I can see this Courier concept being a huge boon for anyone in the art/design fields. Looking forward to finding out a release date and cost for this promising piece of technology.
Toilets are not a topic I would usually cover, but I was very impressed by the ingenious idea of Swedish architect Anders Wilhelmson. He has designed a personal toilet that will not only help to stop the spread of disease, but also helps fertilize crops. Visit peepoople.com for more information about this amazing invention.
Microsoft unveiled it’s latest mobile software yesterday and I have to say I’m impressed. This past summer I moved from a Windows Mobile phone to iPhone and I can’t say for one moment I have missed that phone. If Microsoft delivers on what looks to be a very promising product, it could have me moving on when my contract is up with AT&T. Read an interesting article about the software and check out the gallery and videos of the phone in action on Engadget.
I recently discovered Tyler Eide’s design work. I was mucho impressed with all his work, but was particularly loved his proposed face lift for Google Earth. I love GE, but I would be a lot more inclined to use it more often if it looked this good. Great work Tyler!
I don’t know if you have noticed, but NBC has been completely rebranded and I love it! It’s simple, colorful, creative, modern, yet still ties in their history. Capacity Studios was in charge of the project and they have posted a case study about it. Don’t miss it. It’s a fascinating read.
Web Design Ledger has some great examples of the effective use of negative space in logo design. I love it when clever ideas and good design come together.
If you are designer you will appreciate this new site full of anonymous client horror stories. As designers/artists we have all had “that client”, so it’s always refreshing to hear others stories and know we are not alone.

“Every artist and creative goes through a seasonal ebb and flow. Times when we love what we are creating and times when we may be frustrated with what we are creating.”
Great post about the ebb and flow for creatives by husband + wife team @ Sarah Rhoads Photographers. While you are on their site be sure to check out their amazing work. It’s inspiring!

Barton Damer has a great interview on his blog with Steve Hoover & Danny Yourd from Endeavor Media. It’s always interesting/inspiring to hear and learn from artists who are great at their craft. I recommend you check out the interview and Endeavor’s work. The video above is one they recently produced for Owl City.
