Going Back To The Start

Creative stop-motion piece from Johnny Kelly for Chipolte. I love the creativity of this, but I think I love Willie Nelson’s cover of “The Scientist” even more… You can get it on iTunes.

Brilliant Work

This is a great motion piece from Michael Jones that he created for Newspring Church. I love the way he incorporated live shots with 3D animation seamlessly. Michael has a great design & animation blog.

Making Waves

What inspiring design from Zaha Hadid for the London Aquatics Center. Pictures are by Hufton + Crow.

A Good Eye Beats Equipment Everytime

If you’ve followed my blog for long you know I have an affinity for tilt-shift photography. I love this video that Ryan Killackey and his wife put together from over 10,000 shots they took in California. What makes it even better is that Ryan created this all with basic equipment (Canon Rebel XS, 50mm, 18-55mm kit lens, 50-250mm). Proof that an artful eye trumps expensive equipment any day.

Back To The Basics

Are you new to DSLR photography/video or just looking to brush up on the basics? Then you’ll want to watch this trio of great videos from the uber-talented Vincent Laforet & Blake Whitman. You can view the other two videos on his blog.

Musical Deliciousness

I’m loving this mashup of Chasing Cars & Every Breath You Take from Party Ben. You can download this mix and quite a few others on his site.

Why Didn’t I Think Of That?

I don’t know about you, but I’m always misplacing my lens cap. That’s why I love this concept from Rhie Hyi Joong & Lee Sang Hwa. I hope they put it into production soon.

Just a little warm out today.
