For World Water Day, BDDP Unlimited partner NGO Solidarity International, which specializes in coverage of basic needs (including water supply), created an unprecedented display, using water directly as a medium. The display was set in the heart of Paris and delivered messages about the damage caused by the non-potable water in the world.
Photographer Esther Havens and the charity: water team head back to Murinja Village, Rwanda, to find a boy whose story has crossed the world to raise money for water projects.
His name is Jean Bosco. He’s 17 years old and used to collect water every day from a muddy swamp. Now, he and the hundreds in his village drink from a charity: water well.
Just two years of clean water had transformed this village. Jean Bosco and his friends told us they don’t get sick like they used to. What an amazing story!
