The Big Picture Photo Blog of the Boston Globe always offers stunning pictures from across the globe. Recently they compiled some of the best pictures from National Geographic’s 2009 photo contest and as usual they are stellar. The above picture by Cesare Naldi was one of my favorites.

Beautifully Abstract

I find this video mesmerizing and inspiring… It makes me want to drop what I’m doing and play with Adobe After Effects all day.

Urban Abstract was created by Jopsu Ramu from Musuta Ltd, a art & design-studio based in Tokyo and Helsinki. It’s a journey across urban space in one, two and three dimensions and was created by mixing techniques such as vectors, hand drawn lines and painting.
