Now I Know My ABC’s

What a clever book and a great Christmas present for that designer in your life. This book is a brainchild of Marion Bataille, a graphic and book designer from Paris. You can find out more information and order it here.

On Top of The World

Aurland Lookout // Aurland, Norway
Saunders Architecture designed this rest-stop 2,000 ft above Aurland Fjord in Norway. The end of the platform is closed off by a sheet of glass, offering an amazing view. I would love visit here with my D80 and my wide angle lens.

Grand Canyon Skywalk // Grand Canyon, Arizona
This horseshoe shaped glass-bottomed walkway stands 4,000 feet above the floor of the Grand Canyon and can withstand winds of 100 mph. It costs $67.20 to take the walk and no cameras are allowed. The no camera rule is definitely a discouragement from going, but given the chance it’s a opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

Top of Tyrol // Tyrol, Austria
Located on the top of the Mount Isidor in Tyrol, Austria this amazing viewing platform was quite the achievement for architects Aste Architecture. I love the way it’s designed to fit right into the landscape and the pristine views it offers.

Give Presence

I came across this video about a month ago and loved the concept, execution and movement behind it. I encourage you to visit Advent Conspiracy and find out how you can become involved. I know God has been stirring me lately to always be “about His business” and become more focused on how I can serve instead of being served. What better time of year, when we are celebrating the greatest gift ever given, to reflect on how we can give back to those who are in need.

Quotables

From California, to the New York Island

I love finding new art and artists and my latest discovery is Frank Chimero. His style of illustration is very refreshing, clever and whimsical. My favorite work of his has to be “The States’ illustrations he has done. I think the piece above would look great in my office!
